The team

In the Nordics and the Netherlands, ISIC Association is represented by student travel agency KILROY, and the ISIC team that serves all six markets is situated in Helsinki. Your colleagues will consist of both KILROY travel agency staff and other ISIC Association members around the world. We work closely with Frank student services as well.

The ISIC team itself consists of four professionals with ambition to make the student life better and help broadening horizons for students. In our free time, we like to study, read, go climbing and hiking, drink tea & pepsi max, and to travel and meet new people when we can. Inclusivity, education and international mindset at large are important values for us both personally and in our work.  

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join us in making student life better in the Nordics. The position is new and located in central Helsinki.

 

About the position

ISIC is as successful in fulfilling its purpose as our benefits are useful for students and partnership valuable to our benefit providers. Business Development Manager is responsible for expanding the benefit portfolio available for ISIC cardholders in the Nordics and the Netherlands and optimizing and coordinating ISIC's affiliate partnerships. The Business Development Manager has a keen nose in identifying and developing new business opportunities and income areas through other commercial partnerships.

A successful ISIC Business Development Manager has experience in business-to-business sales and partner success management, and a hands-on approach to sales and a drive to work the deal through. They are able to communicate clearly and constructively and proactively develop relevant competencies to grow. In such a varied field of tasks, both flexibility and productivity, a.k.a. getting the work done in time, are definite success factors.

The Business Development Manager works closely with both Head of ISIC and ISIC Marketing Manager.

 

About you

ISIC is all about student life. We wish our Business Development Manager to be able to relate to students, their needs and behavior and have the following competences/background:

Work experience within B2B sales, customer success and/or membership programs

  • A degree within business
  • Fluency in at least one of the Nordic languages and most importantly, in English
  • Motivation of bringing the best deals & benefits to students and success to our partners

Experience in working in English, speaking additional Nordic or Dutch languages, and living in another country as a student or otherwise are advantages when applying for the position.

The process

We will review all applications during the application period and begin to do short first-round interviews as candidates who match our profile appear. We will notify all applicants on the week following the end of application period as to the next steps. Altogether there will be three rounds of interviews, and we hope to conclude the process latest by mid-February. We are aiming for the right candidates to begin their work on March 1st latest but are ready to be flexible with the schedule - finding the right people for the team comes first.
