About the position

We are looking for an experienced professional to help grow and manage our portfolio of business, consisting of B2B partnerships such as schools, tour operators, volunteering organisations and more. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, building and execution of the pipeline.

Travel will occassionally be required and driving license is a plus.

This is a new vertical of the business and there is great scope for the right candidate to have a high degree of influence over this business is shaped.

This role is based in Bristol with the rest of the team, but for the right candidate both hybrid and remote setups will be considered.

You will be reporting to our Head of Commercial whom you will work very closely with in this role.

About you

  • Are an experienced travel industry professional having worked in a B2B/partnerships/groups environment previously.
  • Have a commercial flair and love the selling aspect of a job.
  • Have an existing network in the industry.
  • Are responsible, structured, and able to work independently.
  • Are a people person who confidently can engage with people a.t any levels throughout an organisation, during for example RFP and tender processes
  • Are outgoing and with strong communication abilities.
  • Like working in a high-performing culture and taking responsibility for your own development.

We are looking for:

  • Ability to identify new business opportunities, build a pipeline and close new business. 
  • Travel industry background is essential, with knowledge of travel in general and youth and student travel being a big plus,
  • Previous Key Account Manager, sales and business development experience 
  • Customer focused, flexible, caring, positive approach with the willingness to assist in other areas of the business as required.
  • Very strong and effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self motivated with an ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks.
  • Understanding of the operational aspects of individual as well as group travel with experience from working with airlines as well as using a GDS (we use Sabre) is a plus but not a requirement.
