Are you an energetic, detail-oriented individual with experience in event planning? Do you love creating fun and engaging content for social media? Are you looking for a varied and dynamic role that combines the two?
KILROY is looking for a Bristol-based Events and Social Media Coordinator to increase brand awareness and generate leads for our first UK retail store.
At KILROY, we believe that travelling the world and seeing different cultures make a better you, and therefore, a better world. We are passionate travellers ourselves and have helped thousands of backpackers venture to faraway places since 1946.
The KILROY Group is one of Northern Europe’s largest providers of youth and student travel services. We are market leaders in Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Belgium and the Netherlands, employing more than 350 people. In 2023, the KILROY Group continued its international expansion of the KILROY brand into the United Kingdom.
As our Events and Social Media Coordinator, you will be responsible for organising events that attract students and young travellers and generate leads for the KILROY UK sales team. These events will be a mix of internal events, such as in-person travel talks held at our Bristol store, as well as external events, including Fresher’s Fairs at local universities.
You’ll be responsible for promoting these events to our target audience, using paid and organic social media, and will be expected to identify local advertising opportunities, such as print or display. In addition to event promotion, you’ll also nurture attendees after the event with email marketing.
You’ll also take ownership of our social media channels, creating engaging content with a view to increasing our follower count across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
This role is based in our Bristol store, though travel around Bristol will be required at times, and there will be occasions when travel further afield in the UK is required. You’ll be reporting to the UK Marketing Manager.
While we hope you come with a few years of professional experience, your confidence with public speaking and enthusiasm for creating awesome events and social media content is equally as important.
Experience in Facebook Ads Manager and email marketing is a plus, but not essential – our UK marketing manager will support and train you in these areas.
A full driver's licence is also a plus.
Make it easy for us to choose you!
The deadline for applications is Sunday 19th May 2024.
